The unity of the Jewish community across the world is central to the work I do. The diaspora needs to feel at one with the people of Israel.

Vladimir Sloutsker

Dr. Vladimir Sloutsker is mostly known for his political career and contributions towards Israeli- European relations.

He began his political career as a Senator for the Russian Federation, working on national policy and relations with Religious organisations within the Russian Federation.

Sloutsker has been extensively involved in giving voices to the Jewish Diaspora across Europe with a particular focus on battling anti-Semitism, racism and those that question Israel’s legitimacy in Europe.

Dr. Sloutsker co-founded, and is the president of the Israeli Jewish Congress. He has worked with and led many organisations that support Jewish communities both within and external to Israel. In particular, the organisations he has supported focus on the Diaspora in Europe and Jewish- Russian relations. Before founding the Israeli Jewish Congress, Sloutsker was involved with; Russian Jewish Congress, the European Jewish Congress and the European Friends of Israel.

Vladimir Sloutsker holds a PhD in Civil Engineering, and studied in Moscow.

Sloutsker is married, and has three children. He is based in Israel.
